Only the following models may be affected and will require rectification work:
RK25JVEA9, RK35JVEA9, RX25JVEA9 and RX35JVEA9.
These models have been sold in Australia and New Zealand between 2001 and 2006. Note that only model numbers that end in "9" are affected.
If your external unit is safely and readily accessible, you can find the model number information at the top of the metal foil label on the right hand side of the unit.
If you are an affected customer you should have received a letter from Daikin notifying you of the required work. Please register with us using the REGISTRATION link on this page, so we can arrange for the work to be carried out.
If you have not received a letter but think that this work should apply to your air conditioning unit, please contact us on the details below.
In the meantime, IF YOUR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT TRIPS THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSES, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT RESET THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE, OR ATTEMPT TO OPERATE THE UNIT AND YOU SHOULD CONTACT DAIKIN IMMEDIATELY.
