Information collected by Daikin
Daikin collects the personal information provided by you when you register on our website (“the Information”).
The Information will primarily cover your name, address and contact details, as well as the model and serial number of your air conditioning unit.
What happens if you do not provide the Information?
If you do not provide the Information required, we may have difficulty in carrying out the rectification work on your air conditioning unit.
How is the Information used by Daikin?
Daikin collects the Information to enable Daikin to perform the rectification work. For example, we may use the Information you provide us:
- To respond to your queries or requests for information.
- To assist us in scheduling a time for the rectification work to be performed.
- To communicate with the repairer that will carry out the rectification work.
- To send you further information, if necessary, in relation to the rectification work.
Who does Daikin disclose personal information to?
Daikin will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise supply to third parties any personal information, including the Information, obtained from you without your consent.
- Daikin will need to disclose certain information to the repairer carrying out the rectification work on your air conditioning unit.
- Daikin may also need to disclose your details to the dealer from whom you bought the unit (the dealer may have those details already), or the regulatory authorities monitoring the rectification work.
If at any time Daikin is required by law to release information about you, Daikin must cooperate fully.
How will Daikin keep the Information secure?
Daikin takes all reasonable care to keep personal information secure and confidential, and to keep personal information accurate and up-to-date. We have physical and electronic security systems and procedures in place to protect against unauthorized access to and loss, misuse and/or alteration of the information under our control.

- You may gain access to Information that Daikin has collected about you, by contacting the person named below. We will not charge you for responding to such a request.
- You can change or update personal informationby contacting Daikin toll free on 1800 991 525 in Australia or 0508 655 003 in New Zealand. What this Privacy Policy does not apply to?
You need to be aware that this privacy policy does not apply to information about companies (unless it is also about an identifiable person).
Policy updates
Daikin reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If it is changed, the changes will be posted on Daikin's website so that you are always aware of the sort of information collected, how the information may be used, and under what circumstances it may be disclosed by Daikin.
